Catherine Ford is a British actress born in Bloomsbury. When her father's divorce from her family members, she was grew up by her mother, grandparents, and godparents. She suffered from an anxiety disorder based on word associations as a young child. Ford began to become interested in acting during her teenage years she joined the National Youth Theatre. She got into the Sylvia Young Theatre School. But after just one month, she decided that it wasn't suitable for her. Ford decided to apply for the Central School of Speech and Drama, finally winning a place on her fourth application. Shaun Dingwall played Pete Tyler in Doctor Who. Ford earned her bachelor's degree in 1993. But, before then, Ford made a television debut, appearing on Surgical Spirit in an episode from the year 1991. Ford took the professional title of Catherine Tate. Tate was featured in a variety of television programmes including The Bill, Men Behaving Badly, and London's Burning in the Nineties. Apart from her regular stage work, Tate was a part of with the Royal Shakespeare Company in 2000-2001. However, Tate soon began to garner recognition for her stand-up comedic performances that she incorporated into her resume in the year 1996.
